The Immigrant Investor Program (IIP) of Ireland was introduced by the Irish Government in 2012 to encourage inward investment for the creation of business and employment opportunities in the State. The Immigrant Investor Program (IIP) is designed to encourage investors and business professionals from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) to avail of opportunities of investing and locating their business interests in Ireland and acquire a secure residency status in Ireland

The Republic of Ireland today ranks amongst the wealthiest countries in the world in terms of GDP per capita and in 2015 was ranked the sixth most developed nation in the world by the United Nations’ Human Development Index. Ireland is home to many of the world’s leading high-performance companies including Intel, Twitter, Pfizer, Citi, Huawei, Takeda, Fujitsu, Novartis and Trend Micro. The country is also positioning itself to become a world leader on the Internet of Things, Big Data, ICT Skills, Energy Efficiency, Health Innovation and Cloud Computing.

Costs

To be eligible for Ireland Immigrant Investor Program, the applicant is required to make a financial investment through the following four investment options.

1. ENTERPRISE INVESTMENT

Minimum investment on an Irish Enterprise for a period of 3 years

2. INVESTMENT FUND

Minimum investment on an approved Investment Fund that is regulated by the Central Bank for a period of 3 years
EUR 1,000,000

3. REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUSTS (REIT)

Minimum investment on an Irish REIT that is listed on Irish Stock Exchange for a period of 3 years
EUR 2,000,000

4. ENDOWMENT

Minimum philanthropic donation to a project Which is of public benefit to the arts, sports, Health, culture or education in Ireland

Citizenship Invest professional fees, official application forms, certification of citizenship and passport, courier & other disbursements are the only other costs associated. A detailed quotation with no hidden costs is provided for the specific case.

Required Documents

Citizenship Invest appoints a Document Collection Specialist for each case. The firm offers a bespoke service that simplifies the application process, requesting from clients the bear minimum. Our job is to simplify the document collection as much as possible and when required we obtain the documents for the client without their involvement. Please note the below list is to be used as a guideline only, after assessing the particular case Citizenship Invest prepares a personalized checklist.

Documents required from each applicant including children:

• Certified valid passport (complete pages)
• Certified Birth certificate for children
• Confirmation of attendance at university for adult children (18-24years) as applicable
• Evidence of Good Character for main applicant, spouse and each dependent over 16 yrs. – police clearance report from each country resided in for more than 6 months in the last 10 years

Documents required only from the main applicant:
• Original Bank statements for 3 months as proof of financial resources,
• Original Letter confirming pension entitlement as applicable
• Original Employment Letter
• Audited Financial Statements/ Share Certificate
• Proof of assets like, property title deed, inheritance certificate

Documents required only if married persons apply together:
• Original excerpt of marriage record or certified copy of marriage certificates
• Certified copy of divorce certificate (if applicable).

Timeline

MONTH 1- 2

Client signs CI Retainer Agreement and pays the retainer invoice including DD fees

Due Diligence File Prepared

The applicant passes Due Diligence

MONTH 3-9

Application Form completed

Applicant pays INIS the application fee of EUR 1,500

INIS received the application for processing
Applicant can be approved or denied

Once approved, Applicant to sign Subscription Agreement and completes EUR 1,000,000 investment.

Applicant visits Dublin to received “Stamp 4”

YEAR 5

After residing in Ireland for 5 consecutive years, the person can apply for a citizenship.

 

The estimated time to receive residence permit/citizenship approval depends on the due diligence processing time and the specific case.
